JAS-ANZ is the government-appointed accreditation body for Australia and New Zealand responsible for providing accreditation of conformity assessment bodies in the fields of certification and inspection. Accreditation by JAS-ANZ demonstrates the competence and independence of these bodies.

United Kingdom Accreditation Service

The United Kingdom Accreditation Service is the sole body recognised by Government for the accreditation of conformity assessment against international standards. Our aim is to promote quality assurance to ensure that your customers have confidence and trust in the service you provide. We are a strong supporter of self-regulation (as opposed to Government legislation), in order to cut the cost burden of red tape or unnecessary bureaucracy.

Indian industry is represented in QCI by three premier industry associations ASSOCHAM, CII and FICCI, QCI is also assigned the task of monitoring and administering the National Quality Campaign and to oversee effective function of the National Information and Enquiry Services. To realize the objective of improving quality competitiveness of India products and services, QCI provides strategic direction to the quality movement in the country by establishing recognition of India conformity assessment system at the international level.


NABCB is the acronym for National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies. NABCB is a constituent of Quality Council of India (QCI). QCI has been established in 1998 through the joint initiatives of the Indian Government and the industry.
The objective of NABCB is to establish and offer accreditation schemes, based on internationally accepted standards, for certification bodies and inspection bodies engaged in providing services of system certification (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 etc.), product certification and inspection.

The International Accreditation Forum, Inc. (IAF)

The International Accreditation Forum, Inc. (IAF) is the world association of Conformity Assessment Accreditation Bodies and other bodies interested in conformity assessment in the fields of management systems, products, services, personnel and other similar programmes of conformity assessment. Its primary function is to develop a single worldwide program of conformity assessment which reduces risk for business and its customers by assuring them that accredited certificates may be relied upon. Accreditation assures users of the competence and impartiality of the body accredited. IAF members accredit certification or registration bodies that issue certificates attesting that an organisation's management, products or personnel comply with a specified standard (called conformity assessment).
